Remote Site Testing

REMOTE SITE TESTING IS FOR FSCJ STUDENTS IN DISTANCE LEARNING COURSES

What is Remote Site Testing?

Remote Site Testing is only for students in courses that require face-to-face proctored testing.

This is not virtual testing (such as testing at home on a computer).

If you do not live in Nassau, Duval, St. Johns, Clay, Bradford, Union, or Baker County and your professor requires face-to-face proctored testing, you must schedule an appointment at a remote site location.

Please contact onlineremoteproc@fscj.edu for more information.

What is a Remote Site?

A remote site is a college, university, or military Educational Services Office (ESO) approved by FSCJ Distance Learning to conduct proctored face-to-face testing for our students. The approved institution authorizes proctors to conduct testing.

High schools and libraries are not acceptable as remote testing sites.

The student is responsible for any testing fees required by the testing site.

To Schedule your Appointment for a Proctored Test at Remote Site:

  1. Login to MyFSCJ.
  2. Go to your Canvas Course.
  3. Click on Smarter Proctoring.  (Registration is required upon first log in.)
  4. Follow the links to schedule your appointment.

***If SmarterProctoring does not provide you with any nearby centers, you must find a testing site and get approval before scheduling a testing appointment.***

Acquiring Approval for a Remote Testing Site:

  1. NCTA Testing Centers are approved locations to test: list of certified centers
  2. Once you find a college or university that offers proctored testing, you must complete the Remote Site Proctor Approval Form. This form must be completed and signed by the proctor or representative of the college, university, or ESO. Distance Learning must approve all remote testing sites before testing.
  3. The process for approval is thorough and requires a minimum of two weeks before an appointment can be approved.
