Supply Chain Management (A.S.)

The Associate in Science (A.S.) in Supply Chain Management degree program educates, trains and prepares students for a successful career working in supply chain business environments that involve precise coordination of land, sea and air transportation. Through applied, hands-on, simulated and internship learning experiences, the program enables students to achieve a level of proficiency in communication, critical thinking, technical, analytical, teamwork and supervisory skills that is required for employment and advancement in a range of supply chain management jobs including a supply chain manager, supply chain analyst or supply chain consultant.

The supply chain management course options are designed to meet the needs of employers incorporating skills in logistics, operations management, inventory management, computer applications, teamwork and communications.

A technical certificate, Logistics and Transportation Specialist (6127) (T.C.), is included as an option within this degree program.

  • Students will demonstrate computer technology skills that are required for efficient operation in a warehouse, distribution center or other logistics business environment.
  • Students will analyze the cost impact and modal decisions required in a transportation model.
  • Students will apply problem solving techniques and critical thinking skills needed to perform successfully in a logistics working environment.
  • Students will construct effective written forms of professional/business communication.
