FSCJ is closed for Winter Break, Thursday, December 19-Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The College will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2025.
Sarah currently serves as director of the Florida State College at Jacksonville’s U.S. Department of Education-funded Title III Strengthening Institutions Program, BRIDGES. Sarah earned a B.A. in English from Elon University and a M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from North Carolina State University. She has over 15 years of experience in both student affairs and academic affairs at Florida State College at Jacksonville, University of North Florida, Duke University and North Carolina State University.
Dr. Renita Thompson serves as the Associate Director of Academic and Student Achievement for Florida State College at Jacksonville’s Title III Strengthening Institutions Program, BRIDGES. With more than a decade of experience in higher education, she has held a variety of positions while working for the University of North Florida, Jacksonville State University, and Florida State College at Jacksonville. Most of her career has been in areas that fall under academic and student affairs to include: Student Financial Aid & Scholarships, Enrollment Management and Academic Advising. Dr. Thompson holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Flagler College, and she earned both M.Ed. and Ed.D. degrees in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida.
