CROP Announces Skill Development Orientation Session

Jun 9, 2022, 12:37 PM by System
The College Reach-Out Program (CROP) has announced the start of the Gaining Resources and Developing Skills (GRADS) 2016 orientation session.

The session will run from June 18-July 27 and will take place at Kent Campus. Spaces for the program are limited, so parents are encouraged to enroll their students today.

Last year, students from area high schools participated in this summer initiative, which is designed to provide rising sophomore, junior and senior students with SAT/ACT prep and career/life skills needed for educational success.

Students will participate in career exploration sessions, practice academic skills, learn financial literacy and perform community service activities to help equip them with the tools necessary for an easy transition into postsecondary life. Other activities students will enjoy include structured time management, career panels, cultural events, educational/career tours and a talent/award ceremony. Participants will have transportation, supplies and meals provided to them for all weekly sessions.

The GRADS orientation for students and parents will take place on June 18, 2016.
