On June 10, FSCJ partnered with Healthy Jacksonville Men’s Health Coalition to host Health-Up, a family and fitness day where health education and activities were available for all ages at the North Campus. FSCJ students and members from the community volunteered their time help make the event a success.

The day kicked off with a family health walk in the morning. Throughout the day, 30 local community agencies provided information and resources on healthy living and offered free physicals and dental cleanings for children. Students from FSCJ’s cosmetology, massage therapy and facials programs were also available to provide services free of charge to the 200 in attendance.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for collaboration between students, FSCJ employees and the community, and we look forward to increasing these experiences for our students and the community in the future,” said Academic Director of Health Sciences Dr. Monica Franklin.
