WHAT: Florida State College at Jacksonville’s (FSCJ) Men’s Basketball team is heading to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Dll National Championship, where they will play the #15 seed Howard Community College from Maryland. FSCJ will be one of 20 teams competing for the national title. This marks the first time in FSCJ history the Men’s Basketball team will compete for a national title. The winner of that game will play the #2 team South Suburban College from South Holland, Illinois.
FSCJ won the Gulf South District Championship on March 9 with a final score of 72-69 over Snead State Community College.
In the inaugural season of the move to NJCAA Dll the FSCJ basketball program (25-8) has captured the FCSAA Sun-Lakes Conference Championship, FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Championship and most recently, the NJCAA Dll Gulf South District Championship.
