The Money Back Guarantee program is an employment initiative aimed to support students who successfully complete a qualifying workforce education program but are unable to attain employment within six (6) months of graduation.

Students eligible for the guarantee may receive a reimbursement of tuition based on the following formula: tuition assessed minus federal, State, and institutional scholarships or grants received. Please note, only tuition is included in this guarantee, any fees and other expenses and/or charges are excluded. Only professional core courses for the Associate in Science degrees will be considered for reimbursement.

Associate in Science in Nursing R.N. (professional core courses)

Associate in Science in Cardiovascular Technology (professional core courses)

Career Certificate in Commercial Vehicle Driving

Student Eligibility Criteria

A student is considered eligible if, within six (6) months of completing one of the following three workforce programs and obtaining the relevant licensure and/or certifications, they are unable to secure employment in the field for which they were trained after a sustained search.  Additionally, the student must be legally eligible for employment in the US and the designated industry. This includes successfully passing drug screenings and background checks where applicable.

To qualify, students are required to demonstrate verifiable evidence of the following:

Student attendance.

  • Meet the minimum attendance requirements for the designated program.

Student program performance.

  • Meet a satisfactory GPA to complete the program.
  • Pass all required certifications successfully.
  • Remain in good financial standing with the college.
  • Remain in good academic standing throughout the program.

Career Service or Career Day attendance.

  • Participate in at least four (4) industry-related career fairs or workshops.

Participation in internship or work-study programs.

  • Participate in a Work-Based Learning opportunity, such as an internship or work-study, if applicable to the program.

Job search documentation.

  • Provide evidence of a documented job search of at least 60 applications related to the program of study.

Development of a student career plan with the institution's career services department.

  • Provide evidence of a career plan developed with FSCJ Career Services for employment assistance.
