FSCJ Holiday Hours

FSCJ is closed for Winter Break, Thursday, December 19-Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The College will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Below you will find information that will help you prepare your students to participate in FSCJ Dual Enrollment. We have provided many resources to guide you through the process. High school counselors work directly with our FSCJ Dual Enrollment coordinators to assist your students with application, registration and support through their college journey.

If you are a homeschool parent, please see the homeschool page for more information.

  1. Application Process
Students must have an FSCJ application on file to register for classes. Students and counselors will look up FSCJ classes through the Class Schedule page.
  1. Demonstrating College Readiness & Placement Scores
Students must meet college readiness through college placement. Counselors in Nassau County School District (NCSD), charter and private schools can also use approved alternative placement scores in addition to our traditional placement tests. Students can attempt one trial of the full PERT or Accuplacer Next Gen test at one of the College Assessment Centers at no cost to the student. Should the student fail to post qualifying scores on the first attempt, he or she will be permitted to retest at his or her own expense in accordance with Assessment Center policies.

Students within Duval County Public Schools will test within the district. NCSD, private and homeschool students will test with FSCJ. See Placement Chart. Students should apply to FSCJ as a Dual Enrollment student prior to taking a placement test at FSCJ.
  1. Registration Process
Students must meet all prerequisite requirements for any Dual Enrollment course prior to registration deadlines. Students using courses from another regionally accredited postsecondary institution or test scores (such as AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP scores) must submit official documentation to FSCJ at least three (3) weeks prior to registration for courses on the college campus or at least three (3) weeks prior to the first day of class for courses offered on the high school campus.

Each student is required to submit a registration form with the student’s FSCJ ID and the HS counselor’s signature, along with required placement scores and high school transcript confirming GPA sent to the FSCJ DE Coordinator by the assigned deadline.

For FSCJ courses offered at the high schools, counselors may submit a full class list with students’ FSCJ ID numbers along with confirmation of high school transcripts with unweighted GPAs and placement scores. This list should be sent by the first day of class start.
  1. Articulation Agreements

Each school district and private school has a specific Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement (DEAA) that governs the Dual Enrollment process.
