Important Dates

SACSCOC Substantive Change

Substantive change is a significant modification or expansion in the nature and scope of an accredited institution. The types of substantive change and procedures for addressing them appropriately may be found in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Policy on Substantive Change. The College has authorized  APM 02-1104 to provide guidance on compliance with the substantive change procedures of SACSCOC.

In addition, OIE has developed a Substantive Change Guidance document to provide additional information regarding substantive change. This document will help determine if a substantive change is warranted and SACSCOC approval or notification is required. Please contact OIE with questions or for further assistance.

Inspection of Off-Campus Instructional Sites

SACSCOC stipulates clear requirements regarding physical facilities and resources for all campus and off-campus sites, and well as requirements for regular inspection of all sites. All new instructional sites must complete the Off-campus Instructional Site Inspection Checklist. In addition, existing sites must be inspected at least once every three (3) years. The College has authorized APM 08-0111 regarding inspection and review of off-campus instructional sites.

Program Accreditation

In addition to the College’s institutional accreditation through SACSCOC, some programs are accredited through their own discipline-specific accrediting agencies.

The list of specialized program accreditations can be viewed here. The College has authorized  APM 02-1103 that provides guidance on specialized accreditation and licensing.
