JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) District Board of Trustees elected new officers for the 2024-25 year during the August 13, 2024 Board meeting.
Board Chair Wayne Young was re-elected, having also served in the same position for the 2023-24 year. He was originally appointed to the District Board of Trustees in February 2018, and has held several positions including Board vice chair, member and committee chair of the Board’s Finance & Audit committee, and previously also served on the FSCJ Foundation Board of Directors.
Trustee Andrew Shaw, M.D. was elected as vice chair for Duval County. Dr. Shaw was appointed to the District Board of Trustees in 2021 and served as liaison to the Foundation Board in 2023.
Trustee Rod Odom was re-elected as vice chair for Nassau County. Trustee Odom joined the Board in 2019 and was elected vice chair for Nassau County in February 2023. He previously served as a member for the Board’s Finance & Audit Committee as well.
Trustee Mike Bell was elected as liaison for the FSCJ Foundation Board of Directors. Trustee Bell was originally appointed to the District Board of Trustees in August 2017 and reappointed in July 2021. He previously served on the Board’s Finance & Audit Committee, Board chair from 2021 to 2023, and vice chair for Nassau County from 2019 to 2021.

Board Chair Wayne Young, Nassau County Vice Chair Rod Odom and Trustee Mac McGehee will serve on the Finance & Audit Committee.
