FSCJ is closed for Winter Break, Thursday, December 19-Tuesday, December 31, 2024, and New Year’s Day on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. The College will reopen Thursday, January 2, 2025.
General information and some of the standard contracts and forms used by the College purchasing department for construction projects are listed on the bottom of this page.
The College pre-qualifies general contractors annually during the fall. The College posts all public solicitations on the State of Florida’s Vendor information portal. To receive alerts regarding public solicitations for your Firm’s services, please visit the link below for instructions on registering with the State of Florida’s Vendor Information Portal (“VIP”).
Additionally, College bids greater than $65,000 are placed on the College’s bids schedule page with bidding specifications and necessary information for that bid. Purchasing posts all current bid/proposal solicitations and provides information for firms to submit bids on the bids schedule page.
There are several recent statute revisions concerning insurance that will affect any construction project with Florida State College at Jacksonville.
Being a political subdivision of the State of Florida, the College is exempt from both federal excise tax and state tangible personal property sales taxes and as such on any construction project the College may, at the College's discretion, ask the contracting firm to participate in a Tax Saving Program. See below in the construction documents and forms listing the Owner Tax Saving Material Supplies & Equipment Agreement
